Architectural Illustration

Working from plans, John has used oil paints, acrylics, inks, watercolour and pencil to provide accurate portrayals of the projects of architects, designers and developers. He has also, on occasion, been commissioned to paint and draw "House Portraits", Images of Churches for Wedding invitations and ink sketches of business premises for advertising purposes.

John prefers to take reference photographs himself, but if this is a problem, he can work from photos supplied by the client.

Where a client decides to supply his or her own photographs as reference, it should be remembered that, If part of the house is obscured by a hedge or a wall, those elements will be incorporated into the picture unless specifically requested otherwise and alternate reference images are supplied.

Cars, people and pets can be included in the artwork, but that will, for obvious reasons, mean an increased level of cost.
